The Valley Federation Vision – 08/06/2023
Our Federation, in 3 years’ time, will:
- Be thriving and recovered from the implications and after-effects of the pandemic by:
- Reinstating and expanding the engagement between the Federation schools
- Continuing to support the wellbeing of all children
- Enable every child to achieve their full academic and personal potential:
- With strong support for all pupils, including SEND pupils, and those from a disadvantaged background
- With improved academic attainment across the federation
- Ensuring inclusion and equality for all pupils including those with protected characteristics, so that everyone has equality of opportunity
- Have a clear, established identity as the Valley Federation by:
- Valuing and embracing our local environment and making good use of the local facilities and outdoor spaces
- Enhancing our position at the heart of our two communities
- Engaging with other communities to increase diversity and inclusion
- Maintain strong leadership, performance management and governance by:
- Continuing to be a caring, welcoming and attractive workplace for all staff, with each member of the team working collaboratively
- Achieving effective, consistent and clear communication with parents /carers and all stakeholders
- Ensuring all staff members have, clear defined roles, receive opportunities for professional development including mentoring and training, and have an annual appraisal
- Ensuring the collective full governing body has, the necessary knowledge and skills, clear governance roles, adequate training and evidence of providing challenging support
- Sustain a strong financial position by:
- Managing expenditure and budgeting wisely across the federation, in the best interests of the children, balancing both short and long-term needs.
- Continuing to enrol sustainable numbers of pupils
- Looking to increase the size of the Federation
